Using Regional Filters
Updated over 2 weeks ago

Besides filters that block content all across the web, 1Blocker also provides language-specific categories designed to stop ads on websites written in a particular language.

These categories are located in the Regional section at the bottom of the main Ads filter.

So, the path to language-specific filters is Ads > Regional Filters:

Once 1Blocker is installed, the app will suggest regional filters that might be useful on your device based on the language of your app, requiring few, if any, adjustments from you. If there's a filter to suggest, it will be displayed right on the Regional section pane, while additional filters can be enabled inside the Regional Filters menu.

Here's the list of all language-specific filters currently available in 1Blocker:

  • Block Chinese Ads

  • Block Dutch Ads

  • Block French Ads

  • Block German Ads

  • Block Italian Ads

  • Block Japanese ads

  • Block Polish Ads

  • Block Russian Ads

  • Block Spanish Ads

It's worth noting that it's better to use these filters in addition to general block lists because a big part of ad-related content is used all across the web, regardless of the website's language.

We recommend that you enable only the filters relevant to your locale to maximize the app's performance.

Finally, if you'd like to suggest a new regional filter, you are welcome to contact our support team with any ideas or comments. We are always open to your feedback.
