This short overview should be enough to get you started with the Visual editor, a user-friendly and handy way to hide visual elements on web pages without leaving the browser.
You already know that 1Blocker always does its best to protect you from irrelevant content. However, sometimes, while working on the Internet, you may come across certain elements that 1Blocker didn’t remove or that are not supposed to be removed by our rules. If there is an element that you don’t want to see on a web page, you can literally point it out, and 1Blocker will generate a rule to hide this element.
How to enable Visual editor on iOS:
Open the page that displays the item you want to hide;
Open 1Blocker extension from the Safari Share icon;
Tap "Hide Element" > the original web page will be loaded;
Now you need to tap the element you want to remove. You can adjust the selected area using the "Expand" and "Narrow" buttons if necessary;
When the desired element is highlighted, hit "Save" at the top right corner.
1Blocker will try to create a rule to remove this item. If it fails in removing it, you can give it another try, selecting a more precise area. If it still doesn’t give you the necessary result, please, check the “Important to know” section of this page.
How to enable Visual editor on macOS:
Open the page that displays the item you want to hide;
Open 1Blocker Actions extension;
Press "Hide Element" > the original web page will be loaded in a separate window;
Now you need to click on the element you want to remove. You can adjust the selected area using the "Expand" and "Narrow" buttons if necessary;
When the desired element is highlighted, hit "Save" at the top right corner.
1Blocker will create a rule to remove this item. If it fails in removing it, you can give it another try, selecting a more precise area. If it still doesn’t give you the necessary result, please, check the "Important to know" section of this page.
The Visual Editor offers two ways of working with elements. The Element Selection mode is the one enabled by default. Also, there's the Click mode which makes it possible to use mouse clicks, browse through web pages, close pop-ups and log into accounts.

Some elements have random names or require more advanced rules. 1Blocker cannot hide such elements automatically, but we encourage you to let us know about such cases so that we can take the necessary measures.
The Visual editor always loads the original page without any blocking rules applied.
The Visual editor doesn’t have access to cookie files from your Safari user session. As a result, it is not possible to stay logged into your accounts on such pages while in the Visual editor, but you can use the Click mode to sign in again.
